Welcome to my website. I am an undergraduate student in the Biochemistry program at the University of Illinois - Chicago. I am also pursuing a Minor in Computer Science and was a Teaching Assistant for an introductory Python course in the Fall 2020 semester.

I am an undergraduate researcher in the Department of Chemistry at UIC. Under the guidance of my advisor, Dr. Andy I. Nguyen, I am working on an independent research project involving peptide chemistry. My research focuses on developing redox-responsive nanocages for targeted drug delivery of the anticancer drug cisplatin. Specifically, I am studying the factors which affect cage shape, using the rigid amino acid proline.

I am also working on a bioinformatics project under Dr. Anshu Bhardwaj at AB-OpenLab, Centre de Recherche Interdisciplinaire, Paris. The goal of the project is to create a comprehensive open data platform of currently identified SARS-CoV-2 inhibitors, called SAVIOR, and map their chemical space. My specific role is to analyze the criteria used in curating the National Center for Translational Sciences (NCATS) inhibitor library and add appropriate compounds to our databank.
